| hint | Sand Flies
Sand flies are so tiny that they often go unobserved. Only 0.5 mm long they are the smallest of the blood-sucking flies and are also known as midges. Sand flies bites at first look like mosquito bites and then they turn into a little blisters. Although their are very itchy, try not to scratch as that will only make it worse. Good relief is a tea tree oil.
Habitat: Freshwater creeks, intertidal estuaries and mangroves. |
